You will unlock a faction by beating them in any mode, including PVP and custom games. The faction battles act as more of a guided way to learn the faction. If you skip the deck battles you will unlock the starter cards through natural gameplay.
We've talked a lot about translation and we are open to it. If we do go ahead with translations we will want to do it well and carefully due to the card actions/rules interpretations. While we are in early access and in active development, the game will stay in English, but it is absolutely a possibility later on.

Our intention is that if you open a card, that card remains consistent. Each card in Wyldernook is its own entity. Thus, if you own the sketched version of a card, and then new art comes out for that card, your card will remain untouched. If you were to open or craft new copies of that card, it would be with the new artwork.
Yes, but it becomes much rarer. Players who already have the sketched version could trade it. Booster packs purchased with Gemstones have a chance to contain alternative artwork cards, and the old sketch artwork will become added to the pool of alternative artwork that can be pulled from a pack. However, this means as time goes on, that pool becomes larger and the odds of pulling any particular sketched version of the card become rarer.

Currently this card pack includes 5 cards, of which 1 card is guaranteed to be of Rare quality or higher. Standard odds are as follows: One in four chance to get an Epic & one in twenty chance to get a Legendary. Additionally there is a 15% chance that cards will either have a special frame or alternative art (or possibly both). At present we only have one special frame, the Floral frame. You can invite someone to trade by opening a 1 on 1 chat with them (note you must be friends) & clicking the settings wheel icon. Once clicked you will see several options and initiating trade is one of them. Please note trading is at your own risk, please double check them carefully as the Wyldernook team will not be able to reverse them. To find out what others are trading and post things you would like to trade, you can join us on our discord (link at bottom of page).
All non-starter cards can be traded. Starter cards you can only receive once from unlocking the factions and so they cannot be traded. You can filter out non-starter cards in your collection tab, or you can identify them as cards that have no gem below their name in the card nameplate.
Yes, Chive takes a 1 gem cut on all trades.
You can prevent a card from by un-ticking "Tradable" in the cards detail page. This will prevent the card from being shown in the trade window.
By completing the campaign earn 2 copies of a sticker & other stickers are earned through gameplay. A word of warning, as each card is unique and maintains a memory in Wyldernook, card with a sticker can be dusted or traded away.
In Wyldernook, the main currency "Dust" is earned through gameplay. Dust can be used to purchase cards, card packs, and cosmetic items. Dust is not the only reward that can be earned by gameplay, every player has loot pools that are unique to them, and there are different pools for different types of rewards (ex. Dust, Cards, etc.). A players' pool will diminish based on if they have received a specific reward recently and refill over the course of a day. At present, there are two times loot is awarded: Firstly, in a match when an enemy's card goes to the graveyard or is erased, the server performs a loot roll against a players' loot pool. Secondly, whenever an enemy player is destroyed, they are awarded Dust based on the time spent in that match. At the end of the game, all the loot is added up and displayed in the final Victory/Defeat screen (even if you didn't loot it during the game). This system, in general, rewards players who play matches regularly. As we are in early access, we are monitoring loot pools and rewards closely, and will be refining them as we go and reserve the right to change things. As a free to play game, it is important to us that players have a reasonable path to earning all cards through standard gameplay.
