Studio Kejami Entertainment Inc. ("Studio Kejami," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website at www.wyldernook.com (the "Website"), play our video game Wyldernook, including its online and multiplayer features (the "Game"), or interact with our official Discord server or other Official Community Channels (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions of Use, available at www.wyldernook.com/termsandconditions. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms and Conditions.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that we will collect and use your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy applies to players, Website visitors, and members of our Official Community Channels. It does not apply to information processed by independent third parties, such as digital distribution platforms (for example, Steam or a console storefront) or Discord, which have their own privacy policies governing their own processing of your information. We encourage you to review those policies as well.
Account information, such as a username, email address, and password or authentication token, when you create an account or register for the Game or Website.
Purchase information, such as your name, billing details, and order history, when you make a purchase directly through our Website. If you purchase through a third-party Platform such as Steam or a console store, your payment card details are collected and processed by that Platform, not by us — see Section 3.3.
Communications, such as the content of messages and any attachments, when you contact us for support, report a bug, or otherwise communicate with us.
Community content, such as messages and images you post in our Discord server or other Official Community Channels that we operate or moderate.
User-generated content, such as mods or screenshots you create and submit in connection with the Game, as described in our Terms and Conditions.
Survey, beta-test, or feedback responses you choose to provide.
Device and technical information, such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, hardware specifications, browser type, and language settings.
Gameplay and usage data, such as in-game progress, achievements, session length, features used, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
Online and multiplayer data, such as your in-game username, matchmaking data, and gameplay interactions with other players.
Website usage data, such as pages visited, links clicked, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
Platforms: if you purchase or download the Game through a third-party Platform (such as Steam or a console storefront), that Platform may share limited information with us, such as confirmation of purchase, a Platform user ID, or entitlement data, so we can deliver the Game and any Paid Content.
Discord: if you interact with our Discord server, Discord provides us (or any bot we operate) with information based on your Discord settings and our server permissions, such as your Discord username, user ID, and messages posted in channels we can access. Discord's own collection and use of your information is governed by Discord's own privacy policy.
Analytics and service providers, who may give us aggregated or de-identified analytics information.
We use personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including to:
create and manage your account and provide the Services, including online and multiplayer features;
process purchases of Paid Content made directly through our Website, and fulfill orders;
provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
maintain, debug, and improve the Game and Website, including through crash reporting and analytics;
detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions;
communicate with you about updates or changes to the Services, or, where you have consented, marketing and promotional content;
moderate Official Community Channels and enforce our community rules; and
comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share personal information with:
service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, customer support tools, and email delivery, under contractual obligations to protect your information;
Platforms and Discord, to the extent necessary to deliver the Services or operate Official Community Channels;
professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary;
authorities, where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Studio Kejami, our players, or others; and
a successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, without restriction.
Our Website may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Website (analytics). Most browsers let you control or disable cookies through their settings, though doing so may affect Website functionality. We currently use cookies or similar technologies for targeted advertising using Google Analytics and other similar services.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it longer (for example, financial records for tax purposes).
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach involving your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by applicable law, including the mandatory breach reporting requirements under PIPEDA.
We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and our service providers may be located in Canada, the United States, or other countries. As a result, your personal information may be stored or processed outside of your home country, including in countries with different data protection laws than your own. Where required by applicable law, we take steps intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for personal information transferred internationally.
The Services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us using the details in Section 14, and we will take steps to delete that information.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; withdraw consent to certain uses (which may limit your ability to use some features); and opt out of marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or contacting us directly. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you are located in Canada, our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is subject to applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you have concerns about how we have handled your personal information that we are unable to resolve, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined under California law). We do not sell personal information for money. To the extent we use any analytics or advertising technology that may constitute "sharing" under California law, you may opt out by contacting us per details in Section 14.
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process personal information on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, performance of a contract with you (such as providing the Game you purchased), or compliance with a legal obligation, as applicable.
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms and services, such as digital storefronts, payment processors, and social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of those third parties, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting a notice on the Website or in the Game, or updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
